The Second Chance Humane Society sponsors and supports a large number of events throughout the year. 2006 dates for some of these events have passed and dates for some upcoming events are not yet fully confirmed. Please revisit our web site at a later date, or call the Humane Society on 626-CARE (2273) for further information. The Humane Society also uses area newspapers, radio station public service announcements and flyers to announce upcoming events.
 

ADOPTION DAYS:

  • Shelter Visiting Hours! Come visit us at our Animal Care Facility in Ridgway. We're located on 121 Sherman (CO HWY-62) in the orange/brown house adjacent to Citizens State Bank. Our hours are from 10 am to 4pm 7 days / week, or by appointment.  Our animals would love to meet you!
  • Mobile Adoption Days - Look for our Mobile Mutts & Meows RV coming to your community SOON.
     
  • Telluride Farmers Market – Alternating Fridays
  • Ridgway Farmers Market – Alternating Sundays
  • Main In Motion, Montrose - Alternating Thursdays

Second Chance Adoptathon - Spring, 2008

Come by the shelter for spring fun - adoptable pets, Silent Auction, Live Music, BarBQ, Kids Games, Dog Games, and More!!


Telluride Fur Ball – Saturday, July 5th, 2008, 6 PM

An evening on the town with your favorite canine!  Tickets $35 in advance, $45 at the door.  Tickets available at Ridgway Animal Hospital, Buckskin Booksellers, Second Chance Thrift Shop, Mountain Tails and Telluride Vet Clinic.  Sponsored by Mountain Village Owners Association and Plum TV
Kibbles for humans and your favorite canines, Silent & Live Auction, Doggie Pawtraits, Doggie Fashion Show, Cash Bar and MUCH MORE!!!

Ridgway Arts and Crafts Rendezvous –
WHEN: Second weekend in August 2008
WHERE: Ridgway Town Park.
WHAT: Puppy Parking:  Pet sitting provided by the Humane Society while you enjoy a day of shopping and entertainment. Also visit the Second Chance Mobile Mutts & Meows RV!
