Welcome to the SCHS Website Volunteer Page!!

On this page you will find descriptions of the array of volunteer opportunities available to you through SCHS. We can utilize talents & skills from every arena for example right now we are looking for talented artists to help paint our Mobile Adoption RV.

We also are looking for photographers, animal petters, cleaners, organizers, runners, shoppers, talkers, designers, computer geeks, hikers, and more.....

Our Community Outreach Program could expand its reach with regular volunteer participation in such things as humane education in the schools, community presentations, visiting nursing homes , mobile adoption events, and more.

Below are other examples of how you can put your skills into action:

@

  • Make follow up calls to new adopters to see how the new adoption is working this can significantly prevent the animal from being returned to the shelter by addressing any behavior issues before it is too late.
@

@

  • Foster a shelter pet provide a temporary loving home for a pet in need.

  • The Thrift Shop also is always looking for help as well and given that it is the greatest source of income for the organization, keep in mind that it helps the animals out as much as any other area.
